Welcome, young auto builders of the future! You are challenged to build the fastest electric car possible with a 1.5 volt electric motor and battery! To do so, you must think about:

	The wheels - What size? What shape? How many?
	The axle - Thick or thin? How is it attached to your car? How will your wheels or axle be turned?
	A gear - How can a gear help? What size gear will be the best? Where will you put it?
	The car body - Will this affect the speed?

As you build, write reflections on what's difficult and on what you're learning. Use the links to learn more about wheels, axles, and gears. Post your reflections and a picture of your completed car on the Student Pages when you're finished!
